Dr. Manish Joshi is a Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist, GI Oncologist and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon at the BGS Global Hospitals, Bengaluru. He is currently the Head of Department of Surgical Gastroenterology and Minimally Invasive & Bariatric Surgery providing comprehensive & advanced Surgical care for patients with Digestive diseases including cancer. He had earlier served as Head of Department of Surgical Gastroenterology & HPB Surgery at St. John's Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru.

He completed his MBBS from the Gulbarga University. He has an MS and a DNB in General Surgery as well as a DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology. Dr. Manish qualified for the MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).

He received a Fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplantation in the year 2007. He also has a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (2007) as well as in Colorectal Surgery (2013). Being in the medical field for many years now, Dr. Manish Joshi has worked under eminent names like Dr. Ramesh Ardhanari, Dr. Adarsh Chaudhary and Dr. Pradeep Chowbey. He has also been trained in the UK for Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Procedures.

Dr. Manish has attended many courses and conferences across India. He was part of the Advanced Bariatric Surgery Congress conducted in Bangalore in the year 2013. He also attended the IASGCON, Kolkata and the Basic and Advanced Colorectal Workshop Varanasi both in the year 2013.

He is an avid reader and hopes to contribute to improved patient care through advanced laparoscopic procedures. He won several prizes and gold medals both during his undergraduate and postgraduate period.

Awards:

• Dr Manish Joshi was awarded the coveted 'International Travelling Colorectal Fellowship' – 2014, by the Association of Colorectal Society of India. 
• He also has been selected for the 'Travel Bursary' Award, an award instituted by the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterologist. 
• His research paper "EUS in management of CBD stones' was selected for Best Paper award in the National Conference in 2010 & “Management of Liver Cysts” was his paper which bagged the Best Paper Award in Bangalore in the year 2002.

His publications include two medical books by PARAS Publishers as sole Author.
