Dr. Jayaraj Govindaraj is presently Senior Consultant, Radiologist at the Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Chennai. Dr. Jayaraj has got experience of over 30 years as a Radiologist.

After completing his Medical School (MBBS) from Saint Johns Medical College, Bangalore, in 1982, he had completed his Practice/Training in Radiology (MD) from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore in 1986. He completed his Diplomate of the National Board of Examinations in 1990.

Following this he had worked as Consultant Radiologist in Malar Hospital, Chennai from January 1991 till June 2002, where he was responsible for day to day Radiological Work and Administration of the Department functioning in the Hospital. Since July 2002, he has been working as Senior Consultant Radiologist in Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Chennai.

Honors:

• He had successfully performed for the first time in India, a new technique, Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) to cure painful bone tumour on a 17-year old school boy. The procedure was performed using total anaesthesia, as bone drilling was required.
