Dr S Raja Sabapathy is a Senior Consultant and Plastic Surgeon who is currently serving as the Head, Plastic Surgery, Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery and Burns, Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India. He is one of the most sought after speakers in the Indian and International Plastic Surgeons and Hand Surgeons fraternity. He has made over 16 contributions to various chapters in Books and has written over 70 articles in Peer Reviewed Publications in India and Internationally.

The book was published at Coimbatore for world wide distribution and the entire sale proceeds of the book (Rs 26 lakhs up to 2013) was donated to the society. An overseas traveling fellowship has been set up in the Indian Hand Society funded by the interest generated from the amount.
