Dr. Devendra Kumar Taneja is the Medical Director & Senior Consultant in Orthopaedics at Arihant Hospital & Research Centre, Indore. Prior to his current job, he was the Dean & CEO, Prof. & Head, M.G.M. Medical College, Indore. He has more than 45 years of experience in the field of Orthopaedics. He has completed his MBBS in Agra University and his D.Ortho and MS.Ortho in Lucknow University.

He has been the President of Indian Orthopaedic Association and Orthopaedic Association of SAARC countries, Member-Secretary of Orthopaedic Research & Education Foundation-India, Executive director for Centre for Science & Society Indore, Ex. Member of governing body of for Physically handicapped, Bonhoogly nominated by Ministry of Social Welfare. G.O.I. and a member of various other academic bodies like World Orthopaedic Concern, Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association and Sir Herbert Seddon Society, London.

He has contributed to more than 10 Orations, edited more than 15 books, provided guest lectures in more than 150 academic bodies and has been a visiting professor for many universities abroad. He has volunteered to more than 125 rural camps and to MALAWI (Africa) for service to Physically handicapped.

He has also established first Trauma Centre of Indore, Started Jeevan Raksha Ambulance Sewa for the first time in MP, started First Physiotherapy and other paramedical courses in MP, opened first branch of Indian Spinal Injury Centre at Indore and started first Hydrotherapy centre of Central India.

His special field of interests are Club Foot, Spine & Rehabilitation of Interest Physically handicapped, Trained in Spine, Club foot & Scoliosis surgery at Royal National Orthopaedic hospital, London & Institute Calot, Berck Plage, France under Mr. Manning & Cotrel. His Areas of Expertise are Paediatric Orthopaedics Spine & Scoliasis.
