Dr. Ashish Ranade - Editor - Orthopaedics

Dr. Ashish Ranade is a Pediatric Orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in deformity correction. He completed his Orthopaedic residency from B.J.  Medical College and Sassoon General Hospitals, Pune.  Post which he worked in the United Kingdom for almost three years obtaining further experience in General  Orthopaedics. During this period he obtained the MRCS. Subsequently Dr. Ranade got ECFMG (USA) certified and  then moved to the USA to focus on sub-specialty training.  Dr. Ranade’s Fellowship training includes Limb  Lengthening and Deformity Correction at the Sinai  Hospital, Baltimore, Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Shriners & St Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and Pediatric Spine at the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Philadelphia.

Thereafter he served as a faculty member at the Arkansas Children Hospital. After  gaining global exposure Dr.Ranade returned to India and developed his practice in  Paediatric Orthopaedic surgery. He is currently attached to Deenanath Manageshkar  Hospital, Pune. In addition to Pediatric trauma, foot and hip disorders; Dr. Ranade has  demonstrated expertise in limb reconstruction and pediatric spinal deformity correction.

Dr. Ranade has a great passion for academics. He loves to teach, write, and do  research. Dr. Ranade has presented numerous papers nationally and internationally. He  has several international publications to his credit and has also co-authored four book  chapters. Dr. Ranade is currently the editor of Journal of Maharashtra Orthopaedic  Association and is on the editorial board of Journal of Orthopaedic Case Reports. Dr.  Ranade is also a reviewer for the Bone & Joint Journal (formerly JBJS Br), Bone & Joint  Research (UK), and the Indian Orthopaedic Journal.
