Prof. Chintamani is a Consultant Surgeon and Professor at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi. He specialises in oncosurgery. He is the President of Association of Breast Surgeons of India and the Governing council member of Association of Surgeons of India. He is a tutor and examiner at Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.

His fields of interest are Academics in surgery, Surgical Oncology (Head and Neck, Breast, Soft Tissues and Endocrine).

He has supervised more than 80 thesis projects in last five years for postgraduates and more than 50 scientific projects with Indian Council Of Medical Research, most of which are published in various International Journals with good impact factors and has been PhD Advisor for surgery Nursing projects.

He has published more than 100 scientific papers in National and International journals.
