Dr. Shashi Kumar B. M presently works as an Associate Professor at the Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences, Mandya, Karnataka. He has a combined teaching and resident experience of over 8 years.

He has authored and co-authored 25 publications till date which have been published in eminent national and international journals. He has presented 4 papers at various annual and zonal conferences of IAVDL.

He was the Co-ordinator of Dermacon 2009 at Bangalore, the Joint secretary of “CUTICON KARNATAKA 2011” which was 2nd annual conference of IADVL- Karnataka branch and the and Scientific secretary of ACSICON 2013, Bangalore. He was also the Organizing secretary of “CME on Leprosy” held on 23rd Nov 2010 at Mandya.

He has held a number of positions in professional organizations such as the Treasurer of IADVL – Karnataka branch, the Joint secretary of IADVL – Karnataka branch, 2012-13 and the Karnataka state coordinator of ACSI. He is also a life member of The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists and the Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India.

He is an alumnus of J.S.S Medical College, Mysore, Karnataka and Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, Karnataka, India from where he completed his MBBS and MD(DVL) respectively. He also holds a Fellowoship in Dermatopathology from Dr Uday Khopkar, KEM hospital, Mumbai.
